Story text
During Norway's long winter night, a little girl named Mia and her family light the fireplace and candles, wrap themselves in a warm wool blanket to watch the magnificent aurora, filling the room with light and stories before falling peacefully asleep.

The sun went to bed early. The Norwegian forest was covered with a thick white blanket. Inside the little cabin, Mia leaned against the window. It was so dark outside, but a bright ritual was about to begin inside. Gather all the warm light and fill the room brightly!

"Snap!" Dad struck a match. A tiny flame blinked once. It jumped onto the pine wood in the fireplace. "Crackle!" The flame danced happily. The room instantly became warm and bright.

Mia had an important task! She helped arrange the silver candlesticks. "One here." The windowsill lit up. "One there." The table lit up. "Don't let the corners stay dark," Mia said.

So many little flames were gently swaying. Like little golden stars that had fallen into the room. So bright! So warm! Shadows played games on the wall. Swaying, as if painting.

"Come, wrap up in our 'sweater of light'!" Mom said. It was a super big, super soft wool blanket! Dad, Mom, and Mia were all wrapped together. Like a huge, warm cocoon. Everyone giggled.

Mom brought hot berry tea. "Whoo—whoo—" Mia blew on it carefully. Sweet steam drifted and floated. In the candlelight, it turned into glowing wisps of mist. Drinking it warmed her from her throat all the way down to her little toes.

Dad began telling a story, his voice steady like the fire. "Long, long ago, on the highest snowy mountain..." Mia's eyes grew wide. "...lived a magical arctic fox." It ran very fast, its tail sweeping across the snowy mountain...

"Its tail would sweep out sparkling sparks!" "Those sparks flew up into the sky and became..." Dad paused deliberately. Mia couldn't wait: "Became what?" "Became the aurora outside our window!"

Just then, Mom said softly, "Look." Everyone turned to look out the window together. The deep blue night sky was like a huge piece of velvet. A green light quietly drew back the curtain! "It's the fox! It's here!" Mia whispered in awe.
