Max found a tiny, shiny seed in his pocket. "I wonder what you'll be," he whispered. He dug a little hole in a sunny corner of his yard. He placed the seed inside, covered it with soft soil, and gave it a gentle drink from his watering can. His heart felt full of hope.

Every morning, Max ran outside to check. "Nothing yet," he sighed on day three. He watered the spot anyway. On day five, a surprise! A bright green sprout poked through the dirt. It had two perfect little leaves. "Hello!" Max said, feeling a happy jitter in his tummy.

The sprout grew taller and bushier each day. Curly vines began to twist around its stem. Then, one sunny afternoon, tiny buds appeared! They were all different colors: red, purple, yellow, and blue. Max clapped his hands. "It's not just one plant. It's a whole tiny garden!"

POP! The first flower opened. It was a soft blue bell. Then a red one, shaped like a tiny cup. Soon, the whole plant was a rainbow of little flowers. Max saw his neighbor, Mr. Higgins, walking slowly with his cane. "My knees are feeling creaky today," Mr. Higgins said with a sigh.

Just then, a yellow flower on the magic plant shimmered. A small, plump berry grew right in its center. Max carefully picked it. "Try this, Mr. Higgins," he said. The kind man ate the sweet berry. "Oh my!" he chuckled. "I feel as springy as a new coil!" He did a little happy wiggle.

The next day, Max's friend Lily came over. She was sniffling. "I lost my favorite hair ribbon," she said sadly. A purple flower on the tiny garden sparkled. When it opened, there sat two beautiful new ribbons, just like Lily's lost ones! Her frown turned into a dazzling smile.

News of the helpful garden spread. Ms. Bell from next door peeked over the fence. "My mint plant for tea has wilted," she mentioned. A green flower trembled and produced a bunch of fresh, fragrant mint leaves. "Why, it's perfect!" Ms. Bell beamed, holding the gift gently.

Max realized his tiny garden grew exactly what people needed to feel better. He wasn't the only one who cared for it now. Mr. Higgins told it stories. Lily sang it songs. Ms. Bell shared her watering can. The garden grew even happier and brighter with all the friendship.
