Lele is a little boy who loves to run and jump. He wears thick diapers. 'Thump, thump!' He's having so much fun! But Lele is already a big kid and should learn to use the potty.
Mom brings a red, smiling little potty. 'This is the 'Pony Potty', your new friend!' The little potty blinks and says, 'Hey, Lele, I've been waiting for you for a long time!'
Lele feels a bit shy and hides behind Mom. 'Don't be afraid,' says the Pony Potty cheerfully. 'I'll hold you steady. Come on, try sitting on me like riding a horse!'
The first time, Lele sits on it with his pants still on. 'Huh? No, no.' The Pony Potty shakes its head. 'You need to take off the diaper first. That's the right way to use the potty.'
'Come on, I'll teach you!' Mom helps Lele take off his diaper. 'First, take off the diaper, step by step.' Lele's little bottom is bare and feels chilly.
Now, with his bare bottom, aim for the potty seat and slowly sit down. 'Sit steady, you can hold onto my 'little ear' handles with both hands,' says the Pony Potty.
'Sitting steady!' Lele feels the Pony Potty is very stable and not scary at all. He needs to wait patiently. 'You can think of something happy, or sing a song,' Mom says.
'Hmm—hmm—' Lele sits on the Pony Potty, his little face turning red as he strains. After a while, he feels his tummy relax and lets out a long sigh. 'Plop! Plop!' Happy sounds come from the little potty's belly.
After using the toilet, it's time to wipe his bottom. Mom brings soft toilet paper. 'Wipe gently from front to back, once, twice, until it's clean.'
Once clean, he can stand up and put on his pants. First, put on his little underwear, then pull up his outer pants. 'Clap your hands, Lele is so clean!'
'It's not over yet!' the Pony Potty reminds him. 'My belly has the 'results' that need to be sent to our sewer friend. Come on, press this button.'
'Whoosh—!' Pressing the button, water swirls down, washing all the 'results' away! The Pony Potty's belly is clean again.
'The final step, wash your hands!' Mom takes Lele to the sink. Put on soap, rub your hands, palms, backs, and between fingers, rinse away the bubbles with running water.
'Ha, my hands smell nice!' Lele smells his own hands. Dad walks over and gives a thumbs up: 'Lele can use the potty by himself now, he's really a big kid!'
From that day on, whenever Lele needs to pee or poop, he says loudly, 'I need to go find the Pony Potty!' Then he runs to the little potty by himself.
The 'Pony Potty' became Lele's good friend. Together, they completed an important step in growing up. Goodbye, diapers! Lele feels so capable!
